Courtyard Garden Temperatures 2019-20
Please help us keep a record of air, soil, and water temperatures through the seasons! Use the thermometers located in the Courtyard Garden and record your readings on this form. It is OK if you just have time to do one or two readings. Thanks for your help!
Background
Tuckahoe's 2nd graders have a long tradition of monitoring the air, soil, and pond water temperatures in the courtyard through the school year. This has provided excellent practice with using various types of thermometers, and a starting point for learning about heat energy as it relates to weather and the phases of water, and seasonal changes. This year, they invite everyone in our school community to participate in data collection by checking the thermometers in the courtyard and using this easy form to report findings.
