Everyone deserves to be able to get around Bellevue safely, no matter if they're walking, biking, rolling, taking transit, or driving. But although people walking & biking are only involved in 5% of Bellevue collisions, they make up 51% of the city's deaths & serious injuries from traffic violence. The city's pledged to reduce deaths & serious injuries on our roadway to zero by 2030 (the Vision Zero pledge), but unfortunately we're trending in the wrong direction.
Sign onto Complete Streets Bellevue's letter to City Council to ask for increased funding for Vision Zero program implementation! With these funds, staff will be able to build more infrastructure that keeps people safe.
