NASSR Graduate Student Caucus (NGSC) Co-Chair Nomination
The NASSR Graduate Student Caucus (NGSC) seeks new co-chairs! If you're interested, please nominate yourself using this form by *** FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2020. ***

The NASSR Graduate Student Caucus (NGSC; nassrgrads.hcommons.org) is intended as a venue, under the aegis of NASSR (North American Society for the Study of Romanticism; www.nassr.ca), for graduate students interested in the study of Romanticism to make contact with one another and to share intellectual and professional resources.

We are committed to working together to further the interests, not only of the graduate student community in Romantic studies, but also of the broader profession, by helping to train active and engaged scholars who will continue to strengthen and advance themselves and the discipline. All graduate student members of NASSR are invited to attend caucus meetings and to participate in elections and panels.

This is an opportunity for you, the future professional scholars of Romanticism, to take part in an organization designed to address your concerns as student-scholars, to attend to your needs as pre-professionals, and to celebrate your and your peers’ triumphs.

NGSC co-chairs organize professional development events at the NASSR conference, maintain the Humanities Commons group, and manage the NGSC's public-facing Wordpress site (administered through Humanities Commons).

Traditionally, the NGSC has had four co-chairs with staggered terms, but the caucus is in the midst of a transition, and is seeking new co-chairs with a vision for the future of the caucus.

*** Nominations and Elections ***

All graduate student members of NASSR are welcome to nominate themselves or another member using this form. We're looking for a cohort of leaders that reflects the diversity of the caucus, and ideally, two from the US and two from Canada.

If more than four nominations are submitted, the acting chair (Caroline Winter) will run an online election open to voting by all members of the caucus.

If you have any questions about the NGSC or the nomination process, contact the acting chair at nassrgradstudentcaucus [at] gmail [dot] com.
