The ACRL Residency Interest Group is accepting nominations for Incoming Convener. This nomination form will be live from March 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022. All nominations will be reviewed by the current RIG leadership team which include Jessica Dai, Convener; Kalani Adolpho, Incoming Convener; and Sheila Garcia Mazari, Outgoing Convener. http://bit.ly/RIGrubric. Please note that we do not expect all candidates to be Accomplished, rather, we hope for a nomination to showcase at least an Emerging knowledge of these areas.
We welcome self-nominations for the Incoming Convener. If you are nominating another person, we request that you inform the nominee ahead of time. This role is a 3 year commitment.
The selected nominee will serve as:
- Incoming Convener from July 2022-July 2023;
- Convener from July 2023-July 2024;
- and as Past Convener from July 2024-July 2025.
**Conveners are required to maintain active membership in ALA and ACRL during their tenure.
The Incoming Convener would serve on the ACRL RIG Leadership Team with the Convener and the Past Convener. As Incoming Convener, your main role would be to observe and learn about the various reports and documentation required for RIG and submitted to ACRL. You would provide input and guidance. The time commitment varies, but would likely be around two hours a month. RIG regularly hosts virtual meetings in conjunction with ALA Annual, ALA LibLearnX, and the ACRL Conference. Attendance for the Incoming Convener is encouraged, but not required.
