Adoption Adventure Academy: Pilot Project
Volunteer as a social media representative for adoptable dogs! Meet-ups will usually be in Banff or Kananaskis and will either be gatherings at scenic spots or hikes (depending on several factors). Rachael will bring an adoptable dog who will be the focus of each meet-up. Details will be sent to the volunteer group in advance and participation is always optional. This is a pilot project from February 2024 - July 2024 at which time impact will be assessed to determine best future resource allocation.

Meet-ups: Rachael Rodgers will host small meet-ups of 1-4 hours (location, approx time, activity, and other details will be given in advance) where Rachael will bring an adoptable foster pup or adult dog for everyone to meet, interact with, video and photograph, and later highlight on their instagram. Rachael will provide feedback and be available to answer any questions regarding volunteering. Rachael will deliver a short talk on one of many applicable topics in hopes of making your volunteer journey efficient and impactful and will then take follow-up questions. *
Volunteer Job:
I understand that my volunteer job is to video, photograph, and make a post, a reel, or a story (ideally all three) of the adoptable dog at the meet in a timely manner* on the instagram account listed using the how-to guide in the header of this form as a reference for posting/tagging structure.

An instagram group will be the main mode of communication to inform when and where meet-ups will be.

I have read or will read the attached "Instagram for Adoptable Dogs" guide linked in the header BEFORE attending a meet. *
Meet-ups will be done when possible which depends on several factors. Rachael will try to give a few days notice for each one. Rachael's goal is to host a meet-up every 4-6 weeks initially and will rely on feedback from volunteers for improvements for future meet-ups. *
Once you have signed up and read the linked guide, attendance is optional based on what meet-ups work on your schedule. By attending, you agree to do the volunteer job described above.

Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Waiver

By writing your name below, you are agreeing that:

• This is a group meet for individuals to volunteer with adoptable dogs. Everyone is responsible for their own actions and we hike/meet together as would a group of friends. There are no guides and Rachael Rodgers is not a trail guide nor does she have any certifications as such.

• I am aware that this meet/hike has no professional guide or certified first aid attendant. I am aware that the trip coordinator has not completed an outdoor leadership course, does not have first aid training, and is not responsible for my safety.

• I grant that my likeness (videos/photos) can and shall be used directly or inadvertently in affiliation with the day's meet on (but not limited to) Instagram and Facebook.

• I acknowledge that the organizer of this meet does not carry liability, accident, or health insurance of any kind.

• I am aware of the risks, dangers, and hazards associated with hiking in mountains and hiking with unknown dogs and humans, and I freely accept and assume all such risks, dangers, and hazards including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, property damage, and loss resulting therefrom. I freely release Rachael Rodgers and all animal rescue organizations affiliated with dogs attending meets from any liability.

• I agree that this Release shall be effective and binding upon me, the undersigned, and my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, personal representatives and assigns.

• I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I agree that this is a promise not to sue and is a complete release of liability of Rachael Rodgers and all animal rescue organizations affiliated with the meet-up or hike and I have signed this of my own free will.
