How are we doing?
Thank you for joining Scientist Next Door!

We thrive on sharing our passion for science. We want people to see what makes science so interesting and fun. We hope to trigger curiosity in children, teach them how to ask questions and discover answers.

We hope you are enjoying the calls and activities with through the Scientist Next Door.

Why is this useful?
Our goal is to give support to families that are currently not benefiting from science connections, events and activities. Through activities, we host we believe we can lower the barriers that prevent students from the least advantaged backgrounds to pursue their aspirations in science.

Through this questionnaire, we want to find out what are the main ways in which our activities have changed children's attitudes, interest and aspirations towards STEM subjects.

Why do we need evaluation for it?

It will guide us in the assessment of the impact our activities have on the:
 - attitude towards STEM subjects
 - interest in STEM subjects
 - aspiration to work within science.

It will also help us inform our trustees (the University of Edinburgh and Durham University) about our activities and how they are of benefits to society.

Your feedback will also help us to create evidence to secure further funding, and ensure we can keep this project running for free for everyone.
