Positive Support: 1.1 Encourage and support your child's participation in basketball by showing enthusiasm and positivity. 1.2 Respect the decisions and authority of coaches, officials, and administrators, understanding that they are acting in the best interest of the participants and the game. 1.3 Be a role model by exhibiting good sportsmanship and displaying respect toward opposing teams, coaches, officials, and other parents.
Communication and Conflict Resolution: 2.1 Communicate with coaches and administrators respectfully and constructively, maintaining open lines of communication. 2.2 Address concerns or conflicts through appropriate channels, such as scheduling a meeting with the coach or contacting the designated administrator. 2.3 Avoid engaging in confrontations or disputes during games, practices, or other basketball-related events.
Player Development: 3.1 Recognize and appreciate the importance of skill development and improvement over immediate game results. 3.2 Encourage your child to set personal goals, work hard, and develop a strong work ethic, emphasizing the value of effort, perseverance, and team collaboration. Support fair playing time policies established by the coaching staff, recognizing that equal opportunities for all participants contribute to their overall growth and enjoyment of the sport.
Respectful Behavior: 4.1 Exhibit respect and courtesy toward all participants, including players, coaches, officials, and other parents. Avoid engaging in negative or derogatory comments or actions. 4.2 Refrain from engaging in any form of verbal, physical, or emotional abuse, harassment, or discrimination toward any individual involved in the program in person or on social media. 4.3 Maintain control of your emotions and refrain from using profanity or engaging in disruptive behavior that may negatively impact the atmosphere before, during, or after games, practices, or activities.
Privacy and Confidentiality: 5.1 Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all participants and refrain from discussing confidential or sensitive information with unauthorized individuals. 5.2 Obtain necessary permissions before sharing or using any personal or media content involving participants or other individuals associated with the program.
Compliance with Policies and Regulations: Compliance with Policies and Regulations: 6.1 Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines established by LSA Basketball Network, including those related to eligibility, financial obligations, health and safety, academics, travel requirements, and travel expectations. 6.2 Support and reinforce the importance of compliance with COVID-19 protocols and guidelines set forth by the Organization and health authorities.
Consequences of Violations: Consequences of Violations: 7.1 Violations of this Parents Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to verbal or written warnings, temporary suspension from attending games or practices, or permanent expulsion from the program, as determined by LSA Basketball Network.

I understand the importance of maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all participants and will support my child's involvement in the AAU basketball program accordingly.
