Your health and safety: A) Medical disclosure: Your well-being is our priority. Please inform us of any health conditions, allergies, disabilities, or contagious diseases that may affect your participation or the safety of others. We reserve the right to decline participation if we believe your condition poses a risk to yourself or others. B) Inherent risks: Our tours take you to remote and wild areas, which involve certain risks, such as: extreme weather conditions (e.g. very hot days, cold nights); high altitudes above sea level; uneven terrain and ravines; wildlife encounters (e.g. snakes, insects, ticks); limited access to medical facilities. By hiring our tours, you acknowledge these risks and agree not to hold Yanavico Expediciones, our guides, or tour leaders responsible for any accidents or injuries due to these reasons. C) Medical insurance: We provide regular personal accident insurance for all participants. International participants must have their own medical insurance covering: Local medical care and hospitalization; emergency repatriation to your home country. We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations, personal belongings, and other unforeseen events. 2. Your responsibilities: A) Required documents: You are responsible for carrying all necessary documents, such as your passport, at all times. If your trip is modified or canceled due to missing documents, we cannot provide refunds or compensation. B) Luggage and equipment: You are responsible for the safety of your luggage, equipment, and personal items. Please keep them secure at all times. C) Participant behavior: To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we ask that you: Follow your guide’s instructions at all times; respect wildlife and avoid disturbing animals for photos or observations; do not make fires; do not collect from nor take out any kind of items or souvenirs coming from nature (i.g. stones, plants, seed, etc.); do not take unauthorized photos of local people; avoid using illegal drugs or misrepresenting your health status. Failure to comply with these rules may result in your removal from the tour without a refund. 3. Our responsibilities: A) Guides and tour leaders: Our guides and tour leaders are trained to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Please follow their instructions at all times: We reserve the right to modify itineraries or activities if conditions (e.g. weather, road closures) pose a risk to your safety. B) Contingency policy: We are not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by your travel arrangements beyond our services (e.g. flight delays); while we take every precaution to ensure the success of your tour, factors beyond our control, such as social disruptions (e.g., strikes) and natural events (e.g. weather conditions, natural disasters, wildlife behavior), may affect or preclude planned activities (e.g. wildlife watching, astronomical observations) and require changes to your itinerary. In such cases, we will do our best to provide suitable alternatives. 4. Payments, changes, and cancellations: A) Payment policy: Payment terms will be agreed upon at the time of booking. A deposit will be required to confirm your reservation. B) Change policy: Changes to dates, locations, or services after booking are subject to availability and may result in additional costs. C) Price updates: We reserve the right to exceptionally adjust prices if operating costs (mainly fuel) rise by 10% or more before the service start date. Notice will be provided in due time. D) Cancellation policy: Cancellations made: Until twenty eight (28) days before departure may result in fines of up to 25% of the total cost; until fourteen (14) days before departure may result in fines of up to 50% of the total cost; until seven (7) days before departure may result in fines of up to 75% of the total cost; until forty eight (48) hours before departure may result in fines of over 75% of the total cost. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover cancellation fees. 5. Photos and videos: During the tour, we may take photos and videos for study, analysis, or promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please let us know in writing before the tour begins. 6.
