MLA'17 Blogger & Tweeter Application
Thank you for your interest in participating in the MLA'17 blogging or tweeting activities.

Guidelines: Upon approval and access confirmation, bloggers and tweeters will post once to ensure access works and troubleshoot problems pre-conference. This "test" post should briefly describe a MLA'17 event that you are excited to attend or a Seattle attraction that you are planning to visit. Three conference posts are required to receive AHIP points, the posts should be complete during or immediately after the conference, more details and instructions will be posted with the complete guidelines.

• Continuing Education/Lifelong Learner - One post about a CE event you attended and
two posts about other things you have learned at the conference.
• Contributed Content Sessions - Three posts on papers, lightning talks or special content
• Distinguished Member - A veteran member of 10+ years writes three posts from their
experienced perspective including what has changed or stayed the same over the years.
• Early Riser - Three posts about events that occur before 9 am (E. g. the Sunrise Seminars,
yoga, etc.)
• Exhibit Explorer - Three posts on things of interest in the exhibit hall.
• First Timer - Three posts from the perspective of a first time attendee.
• International Librarian - Three posts from the perspective of an international attendee
• Library Student - Three posts from the perspective of a Library Tech, Master's or PhD student.
• MLA Activities - Three posts on official MLA activities, one post must be on a MLA business
meeting (non-section).
• National Library of Medicine - Three posts on NLM activities (E. g. NLM update, booth, etc)
• Plenary Sessions - One post for each of the sessions.
• Poster Sessions - Three posts on poster sessions.
• Sections - Three posts on Section activities; membership in Section is preferred. For a
list of Sections:
• SIGs (Special Interest Groups) - Three posts on SIG activities. For a list
of SIGs:
• Social Butterfly - Three posts on conference or vendor receptions and social events.
• Virtual Attendee – Three posts on your virtual experience, what you learned, etc.
• Choose Your Own Adventure - Have an idea of your own?
