Last year, the Inflation Reduction Act beefed up the IRS’ ability to catch the wealthy and corporate tax cheats who avoid billions in taxes they owe every year. This funding is now under attack. It is critical that we have a strong IRS that supports working families to collect the hundreds of billions of dollars that the wealthy and corporate tax cheats already owe in taxes. The funding is also needed to boost IRS staffing so that tax refunds and phone calls from taxpayers get dealt with promptly.

We're banding together to fight back against the attacks on and disinformation about the IRS. We need to make sure the public and the media understands the importance of bolstering tax enforcement funding and taxpayer services at the IRS. Without a strong IRS, we cannot achieve a fair tax system.
