Abstract:
Dr. Salomon Israel is an associate professor in the psychology department at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and currently a visiting professor at the Department of Psychology at Columbia University. His research explores the effects of oxytocin on social behavior and cognition. In this talk, he will present studies to broaden our understanding of oxytocin's adaptive role by highlighting its importance in regulating competitive behavior at both individual and intergroup levels. Dr.Israel will also delve into the implications for developing a comprehensive theory of oxytocin's role in social behavior modulation.
