Mount Sinai Health System is rapidly moving to close down Beth Israel Hospital, leaving much of Lower Manhattan without any community hospital. Mount Sinai is our city's largest hospital network, but now they say that they can't afford to provide us care anymore.
Join people who live and work in Lower Manhattan, hospital workers, and our public officials to call for state and city leaders to protect our only hospital, and for Mount Sinai to keep Beth Israel Hospital open to serve our community, particularly an Emergency Department. Homemade signs and banners are welcome!
This rally is hosted by NYC Councilmember Carlina Rivera. Co-sponsors TBA [list in formation.]
