The 2023 Rock the Boat Music Festival will take place on August 5th & 6th, 2023!

The 2023 RTB Food Vendor Fee will be $500.00 + HST and any additional power or equipment requirements will be extra. (All Vendor Payments are Non-Refundable).

Rock the Boat Music Festival promotes authentic and local PEI Food Options!

Prices are firm and non-negotiable. Payments in the amount of 50% must be made to secure your vending space at the 2023 Rock the Boat Music Festival. All vendors must complete their final payment towards vendor fee's on or before July 7th, 2023. Failure to do so will result in your vendors agreement being cancelled, and all vendor payments are non-refundable.

You must fill out a separate application for each booth or entity you are requesting to operate on the RTB site.  

BOOTH SPACES will be operated as tented operations.  Prep and storage space varies depending on your operations.
A limited number of tent rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis to be used as your primary sales tent. All tents are rented through Caseleys. Tent confirmation must be made at a minimum of 60 days in advance of the festival dates. If you are supplying your own tent, it is the vendors responsibility to have that tent approved with PEI Fire Marshalls Office at a minimum of 30 days in advance.

MOBILE UNITS/Food Trucks include self-contained trailers or food trucks that will serve as your sales booth. If you are applying to operate a mobile unit, please list full tongue-to-tail dimensions below.  Please note that per the Fire Marshal's office, all mobile cooking units MUST have an onboard fire-suppression system.  Food vendors in the past have both served attendees from both Mobile Units and approved tent setups/operations.

CARTS should be self-contained and take up a small footprint.  If you are applying for carts please describe in detail below what kind (if any) of prep or storage area you will need at each cart and/or in a separate prep area.

Cold storage will be available on site through a shared refrigerated trailer.

Tents & Service Area: All vendors are responsible for obtaining their own tenting. If you do not have an appropriate tent and need to rent one, please let us know in previous section, after you have been approved to vend at RTB 2023. Please use the "Custom Sales Information" space to explain if your sales tent size is not listed in the "Sales Tent Size" list below or to fill in FULL length of your food truck or trailer. Working Vehicles - Include working vehicles or trailers that you are requesting to park near your booth. Include length, type of vehicle, function (i.e. storage) and details on any power requirements. *

Electrical Equipment
Please list all equipment you plan to use that will require electricity. This is important so we know how much power to reserve for each approved food vendor on-site! Don't forget to include non-cooking equipment like lights, fans, cash registers, phone charges, etc. For each item, please list:

Be sure you request enough power to cover all electrical equipment listed above including lights and any vehicles or trailers that require power. For instance, if the total draw of your 110V equipment is 38 Amps then you will need to order (2) 110V/20A lines (40 Amps total) to cover your needs.

To convert watts to amps divide the number of watts by the volts. For instance an 1100 watt/110 volt device would use 10 amps of power (1100 watts / 110 volts = 10 amps)

If additional power to your booth is required, vendors will be responsible to cover that cost. Rock the Boat will not be responsible for any additional electrical costs.

Please Note: Rock the Boat will approve all final prices in advance.

Please Note: At this time, RTB has no exclusive non-alcoholic beverage agreements in place at this time. Should this change, vendors will be notified and will only be allowed to sell approved exclusive products (EX- Pepsi, Coke).

Food vendors: You may only sell food and beverage items -- do not include other types of merchandise (i.e. no refillable cups, t-shirts, etc.)

Once approved, you may not deviate from this menu list/pricing during the event.  We will review this menu request and contact you if any changes are required.  

Food Vendors: Menu restrictions have to be put in place by Environmental Health and are supported by RTB. Based on the principles of food safety and food service at mass public gatherings.
*RAW GROUND MEAT PRODUCTS ARE NOT PERMITTED. ONLY GROUND MEAT PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN PURCHASED FROM AN APPROVED SOURCE IN A PRECOOKED STATE ARE PERMITTED.
**PLEASE NOTE : RAW, FROZEN SEAFOOD AND POULTRY PRODUCTS (EX. SCALLOPS, FISH, POPCORN CHICKEN, CHICKEN BURGERS) COOKED FROM FROZEN FOR SUFFICIENT TIME AND TEMPERATURE TO KILL DISEASE CAUSING ORGANISMS IS PERMITTED. FREQUENT INTERNAL TEMPERATURE CHECKS WITH A PROBE THERMOMETER MUST BE DONE TO ENSURE ALL PRODUCTS ARE COOKED TO SAFE TEMPERATURES OF 165 FAHRENHEIT OR HIGHER. ALL PRODUCTS MUST BE FROM APPROVED SOURCES.

Please note: Ice may not always be available on site in the event if hot or muggy weather conditions are experienced. The festival will have ice on-site but it is strongly encouraged to prepare to bring your own or purchase from local stores surrounding the community.
