The University of Massachusetts Amherst Clean Energy Extension (CEE) – with support from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center – is offering several full-tuition scholarships for CEE’s Offshore Wind Professional Certificate program (more information available here: https://www.umass.edu/offshore-wind).

The scholarship value is approximately $6,000, and it covers the full tuition cost of the Certificate. This scholarship will enable students from diverse backgrounds to successfully prepare for and join the offshore wind industry. In addition to the tuition scholarship, recipients will receive (1) professional development support; (2) one-on-one mentoring on networking and job seeking, including personal introductions to companies hiring in offshore wind; and (3) a non-curriculum stipend to help address specific personal and professional barriers on an as-needed basis.

The application period is open and will close November 19, 2025.

7) Availability to complete program
Please describe your availability to complete the Certificate program, participate in the associated mentoring program, and engage in an industry internship – based on the following schedules:
Classes take place virtually 1-2 hours per week on weeknight evenings, and they are available as recordings as well. *
Professional development sessions will take place virtually for 1 hour on a weeknight evening one or two times a semester. We will schedule these based on students' availability, and students should attend these live to participate in the discussion. *
The Certificate consists of a total of 3 classes, one per semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Recipients of this round of the scholarship will begin in the Spring 2025 semester.  *
Work eligibility: Do you expect to be eligible to work in the US upon completion of the Certificate in 1 year?  *
