The Inter-Arts Internship Program focuses on digital literacy and technical production. It is a paid work-based learning opportunity facilitated by TCA in collaboration with many arts and culture organizations in Taos County.
This internship is a learning experience, within a workplace, where there will be dedicated time to learn, and dedicated time to support operations. More often than not, the two are combined.
Internships are available to individuals ages 16 - 30 and who are Taos County residents.
Internship rhythms and lengths vary based on each participant. Typically they start with a commitment of around 120 hours (or 3 months). We then assess together what is next!
While details of internship depend on the interests of the participant, it will include some or all of the following:
Theater Technician
Learn how to operate a light board, sound board, and the basics of cinema projection. Work is hands-on and creative, focused on operating and controlling the elements that make a multi-use theater go.
Event Planning & Operations
Learn how to manage a project, plan for an event, program tickets, use calendar software, enter complex data, and boost your tech savviness. When front of house, work involves setting up for events, selling tickets and concessions, and managing customer flow.
Digital Media Creation & Communications
Do you like visual or written storytelling (e.g. books, movies, graphic novels, etc.)? This focus is all about paying attention to words, colors, and images, creating graphics and videos, and communicating complex information – both print and on the screen!
