Are you interested in a 'Connected Rotorua Teachers' Group?
We are two experienced teachers wanting to start a professional learning network based in Rotorua; Annemarie Hyde (DP of Mokoia Intermediate and for the last six months, seconded .4 as a blended learning facilitator with Te Toi Tupu) and Marnel van der Spuy (teacher at Broadlands School and e-fellow for 2014).
Teachers are needing personal learning networks more and more. We both see a need for teachers, in our area, with interests in learning with digital technologies to have face to face opportunities to network with others.
We are aiming to have our first meeting after school on Friday February 14 2014. We've chosen Friday for the first meeting because we don't want people to have conflicts with other school meetings. All teachers who are interested in making connections with others using digital technologies for teaching and learning will be welcome. The time and venue are to be advised but it would be in the Rotorua area. At the first meting we'll discuss dates, times and frequency of meetings.
This form is to register your interest and for us to collect information and ideas from you on how you would like to meet.
Our aim at this point is to gauge an interest from Rotorua teachers (and surrounding areas) who are interested in learning with Digital Technologies and sharing ideas, resources and practices on a regular basis.
Please take just a few minutes to fill out the form attached to the link below, to register your interest in being a 'Connected Rotorua Teacher'.
