Awards
The OCC GATE grants will facilitate a project designed to enhance GATE instruction in the classroom. These grants will be awarded for a project that other funds do not or cannot finance. The objective of the grant is to provide funding for a project that would otherwise not be possible. Grants will be awarded on November 16th at the OCC GATE Conference. We especially enjoy funding proposals that involve unique experiences for gifted students. OCC GATE does not fund the purchase of technology to supplement school technology inventory (ipad / Chromebook / etc) unless the technology is stand alone, directly related to gifted student instruction.
Eligibility
Educators who service gifted students in OCC GATE member districts (https://www.occgate.org/).
Amount of Grant
Up to $1000
Selection
The OCC GATE Grant Committee will evaluate your application considering equally your proposal, goals, budget, and timeline. If you are asking for technology, please discuss how the technology purchase is stand alone, directly related to gifted student instruction.
Application
Please include:
1. A description of the nature and purpose of the proposal stating how it will implement GATE standards using one or more of the GATE Constructs of Depth, Complexity, Acceleration and / or Novelty.
2. A list of clear goals for serving students who are gifted.

4. Timeline of implementation of the proposal.
