SportAbility welcomes power soccer athletes to join us Saturday, October 22 2022 for a fun day of power soccer!
The day will include fun friendly game play suitable for all ages, abilities and skill levels. All participants must have their own powerchair that they can operate in a safe manner (ie. Spatial awareness of others, stopping promptly to avoid collisions). Teams for the Jamboree will be based on registration with age, experience, and equipment of participants in mind. If you are interested in participating but do not have your own power soccer guard, please contact Jade to inquire about guard availability and set up. Participants should fully charge their power chair before attending the day. Bringing a charger with you to the tournament is recommended. If there is not enough participation for a friendly tournament style game play, fun skill building games and activities will fill the day.

What is Power Soccer?
Power Soccer is a sport played by those who use power wheelchairs. A plastic or metal guard is attached to the front of the chair. This is used to maneuver an oversized soccer ball around the gym with the objective to score between two goal posts. Power soccer is played in teams with three players and a goalie on the floor for each team at a time. Participants need to be able to operate a power wheelchair in a safe manner.
