The bursary is a non-replayable award designed to support training and professional development activities for members who would otherwise not be able to attend training courses, participate in conferences, or purchase products (books, online resources) related to Volunteer Management. The bursary can also be used to cover travel and accommodations to a workshop or conference.
If your application is successful, we provide payments upon receiving and verifying receipts for professional development payments.
Recipients will be announced at the 2019 TAVA Conference (February 7, 2019) and their name and photograph will appear on www.tava.ca.
COMMITMENT TO LEARNING:Recipients will be asked to write a short summary on the impact of the professional development activity on their work and future plans. They also may also be asked to share their experience with other TAVA members at a monthly meeting.
To maintain the longevity of TAVA’s Bursary Program, recipients will be asked to serve as a volunteer on the Bursary Selection Committee in the following program year.
