"Wisdom of Trauma" Event Registration
Dr. Maria Yellow Horse Brave Heart describes historical trauma in Indigenous people and communities as “(the) cumulative emotional and psychological wounding over the lifespan and across generations, emanating from massive group trauma.” Healing historical and intergenerational trauma is at the heart of the American Resource and Resiliency Team (AIRRT). To support healing the AIRRT is hosting a viewing of the "Wisdom of Trauma" documentary on February 16, 2023 (1pm-4pm) at the North Pine Government Center in Sandstone, MN. At the viewing, participants will learn how trauma impacts individuals and communities and take part in a series of healing activities.
