Sign the Open Letter: Survivors of Disaster for Peace
We are calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Lebanon and Israel. As survivors of disaster—whether from wildfires, hurricanes, floods, mass shootings, or other catastrophes—we understand the urgency of preventing more suffering. By signing this letter, you join us in demanding peace and a stop to the ongoing destruction. Add your voice to the growing call for change.

We are survivors of disaster. We have endured wildfires, hurricanes, floods, and other crises that have torn through our lives, taking loved ones, homes, and communities. The pain of loss and the long road to rebuilding is something we know all too well.

Today, we stand together to call for an immediate end to the violence in Gaza and Lebanon. The people of Gaza have suffered for too long under siege and bombardment, and their pain is not unlike ours, though infinitely more tragic. As survivors who understand the destruction that disaster brings, we cannot turn away from the destruction that is being inflicted on Gaza and Lebanon today.

We call for a cease-fire. We call for peace. We call for the protection of civilians, for unrestricted access to humanitarian aid, and for the right of Palestinian, Lebanese and Israeli people to live in peace. We believe that peace is possible, but it requires the courage to stop the violence and rebuild a future where all people can live in safety and dignity.

We, the undersigned, lend our voices to this urgent call for peace. Together, as survivors of disaster, we demand a cease-fire in Gaza, an end to the blockade of humanitarian aid, and the beginning of true peace negotiations. We ask our leaders to listen, act, and take responsibility for bringing an end to this tragedy.
