11th Grade - PSAT Registration 2017

WHAT is the PSAT/NMSQT? Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test

WHY? Scores on the PSAT provide detailed information on a student's progress towards college and career readiness. The score reports are very detailed and provide specifics on areas of skill strength and areas of needed improvement. ONLY Juniors who take the PSAT/NMSQT will be entered into the National Merit Scholarship Competition (nationalmerit.org).

WHO? Strongly recommended, but not mandatory, for juniors.
**For this fall 2017, the PSAT will be offered to juniors first. Any juniors who would prefer to take the Pre-ACT over the PSAT, will go on a waiting list - first come first served.

**If a junior opts to take the Pre-ACT in place of the PSAT, they will not be eligible to participate in the National Merit Scholarship Program as the NMSQT is connected to the PSAT only. NMSQT tends to benefit the top percentage of test takers.
