Chimes: Advertising and Sales Manager Application
Due: 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 26.

The Ad-sales manager solicits ads from advertisers, ensures that ads received meet our standards and sends invoices to advertisers. We believe that business majors, especially those with a focus in marketing, would be good candidates for this position. The ideal candidate is very self-motivated and has strong communication skills. The position involves about 5 hours of work per week and pays a 10% commission on ad sales, which must meet a semester sales quota.

-Maintain relationships with our regular advertisers
-Find new customers by contacting local businesses
-Manage, respond to queries in a timely fashion
-Create an advertising schedule, post it in Chimes office trello boards weekly
-Correctly format and save graphic files of advertisements
-Manage billing (work with student org. finance chair)
-Keep records of all ads sold and payments received

-Very strong communication skills, (talks regularly with editor-in-chief, answers emails promptly, responds to phone calls or text messages)
-Responsible and can work independently to meet semester quotas
-Extra consideration will be given to students with business classes, especially those with marketing experience
-Personable and professional when dealing with clients
-Organized and reliable, can meet deadlines
