The Crucible offers full and partial scholarships for youth and adults who would otherwise not be able to participate in classes or camps. The Crucible prioritizes scholarship awards to low-income households, youth and adults living and/or attending school in West Oakland or the East Bay, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color), LGBTQIA, disabled, and neurodivergent youth and families.
Low-income BIPOC youth and adults are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded to youth and adults based on the strength of their applications, financial need, and class availability. We would love to host you in a class!
Please note: Incomplete applications will not be processed. Youth students must be ages 8-18, and if awarded a scholarship will be placed into age-appropriate classes. Requests for specific sessions and classes are not guaranteed.
