An AI Film Event & Story Lab presented by AI Portland in partnership with db clay. A first-of-its-kind event where cinematic craft meets creative code. Where analog meets algorithm. Where art meets science.
WHO
Filmmakers. Mixed-media artists. Storytellers exploring the intersection of GenAI and traditional film craft. Whether you’re a solo creator, a studio team, or looking to be paired with collaborators—everyone’s welcome.

WHY
We’re living at a creative inflection point. MIXED* is a celebration of storytelling in all its evolving forms—a space for hybrid creators to experiment, collaborate, and reimagine the future of film.
HOW
To participate, fill out the form below to submit your project or express interest in joining a team.
- All are welcome—individuals, studios, or agencies—but if your film is selected, at least one teammate must attend in Portland for the main showcase.
- Films should be 1–5 minutes and ready to screen at the showcase. Submissions are open across genres: music videos, spec ads, animation, experimental works, indie horror, and more.
- Aim for at least half of your final film to incorporate AI tools—while mixing in real cameras, crews, and practical effects wherever you can.
