PCST393/SCC393/MAIS593 Peace Communication, Costa Rica: Student Application
This form is to assess your application for taking Peace Communication, an interterm travel course to Costa Rica during Interterm 2018. During the 2018 Interterm session, this course will travel to various locations within Costa Rica and will work directly with the United Nations-mandated University for Peace.

The course will begin with a required 7 hours over two days of classroom activities (January 5-6) and then travel to Costa Rica January 8-20. While in Costa Rica, students will learn about local efforts in Costa Rica to build peace, overcome poverty, develop environmental and human sustainability, as well as the efforts of international diplomacy and peacebuilding via the United Nations, University for Peace, and affiliated organizations. Students will examine a variety of organizational missions, strategies, and tactics.
