Welcome to the 2025 High School Blitz Tournament! This is a double round tournament where each players will face their opponent twice, playing one game as White and one game as Black. The British Columbia Junior Chess is a student organization that serves as a hub for high school chess players across the Lower Mainland. Our goal is to inspire potential young chess players in BC.
Event Type - Blitz (3 minutes + 2 seconds increment per move)
Event Date - March 16th, 2025
Event Location - 7311 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5E 1G8 (Tommy Douglas Library) Community Room #2
Event Details - Schools will participate in teams of 3 with the winning team decided by the total number of points (Schools may submit more than one team)

- Round 1 - 2:00 pm
- Round 2 - 2:30 pm
- Round 3 - 3:00 pm
- Round 4 - 3:30 pm
- Round 5 - 4:00 pm
- Round 6 - 4:30 pm
- Award Ceremony - 5:00pm or ASAP
Administrative Fee -$9 per team ($3 per player)
**This is an unrated high school event; Registration is only open for grade 8-12 students who are 18 years of age and under**
