Identifying and understanding our emotions is essential—not only for personal well-being but also for building meaningful and compassionate connections within our communities. While emotional intelligence wasn’t widely recognized or discussed just a few decades ago, growing research has highlighted its vital role in how we relate to ourselves and others.
As facilitators, we believe that restorative practices can be a powerful pathway to developing emotional intelligence. Restorative practices help us become more aware of how our emotions shape our interactions and influence the energy we bring into shared spaces. This emotional awareness is foundational to creating environments that are safe, empathetic, and healing-centered.
The objective of this session is to create space for reflection and growth, offering practical tools in the areas of:
1. Building emotional resilience
2. Listening with heart
3. Recognizing emotional triggers
4. Practicing active listening with presence and care
