Fall 2019 Directors' Day Out Registration Form
The Fall 2019 Directors’ Day Out allows writing center directors in the Central/South Central Texas Region to focus on how our centers can support one another in terms of tutor training. This particular workshop/networking/planning event will center around how we can cross-train our tutors via events such as field trips, mini-conferences, video chat, etc. Please note this workshop is specifically designed administrators whose role it is to create and implement training and professional development curriculum for writing tutors.

Goals and Outcomes:

Attendees will be asked to share valued practices in tutor training, as well as how they would like to enhance training and professional development for their staff. Ultimately, the goal is to leave inspired and energized about working together to support our students -- and ideally with some detailed plans for future cross-training events between institutions!

Logistical Information:

* Date and Time: Saturday, September 14th, 9am to 3pm
* Location: Debby Ellis Writing Center, Southwestern University, Georgetown, TX
* Lunch will be provided, as will a light breakfast. Coffee, tea, light snacks, and water will be provided throughout the day.
* Attendees will receive a $25 stipend to offset travel costs.

Registration Information:

* No registration fee.
* Fifteen (15) spots are available and will be filled in order of registration. All others will be waitlisted.
* In order to provide availability to as many institutions as possible, only one director per writing center will initially be accepted. If more than one register, they will be waitlisted.
* Registration closes Sunday, September 1, at midnight CST.
* You will be notified within 24 hours of submitting this form if you have been registered or waitlisted. We will start contacting those waitlisted on Monday, September 2.
