AWANA Registration
Dear Parents,

Summer is coming to a close and the school year is about to begin. This means another great year of AWANA is on its way. AWANA is a Bible memorization and discipleship program for children ages 3 through high school. The AWANA start date is September 12th. AWANA is rapidly approaching; and we are busy preparing for the upcoming term. We encourage you, your children, and children within your sphere of influence, to be a part of this rewarding ministry.

Here at BCC we are committed to advancing a child's relationship with Christ by being centered on God's Word. We are pleased to announce the following changes for 2018-2019 AWANA campaign. We pray that these changes reflect our commitment to the Lord, to you as parents, and to your child.

1. BCC is developing its own Biblically robust catechism for the AWANA teaching time.
2. We are refocusing and renewing our, and AWANA's emphasis on biblical discipleship. We are so grateful to have a
number of returning godly servants; and the addition of quite a few more. With addition of godly servants comes
the addition of godly wisdom, time, and care spread across the ministry.
3. With the short-answer systematic theology of the catechism, and in-depth discipleship in God's Word; our prayer is
that the AWANA program would help encourage a sound Biblical worldview and make disciples of Jesus Christ
who follow in his words into eternal life.

AWANA Parental Guidelines
1. We ask a parent or caregiver to stay for the evening.
2. If circumstances make you unable to stay for the evening, you may leave your child with a consenting and
attending adult. Your child's AWANA group leader must be notified at sign-in.
3. Here at BCC we offer a Wednesday weekly Prayer Meeting @ 6:30 pm in the kitchen. The prayer meeting is open to
teens and adults.

BCC Child Sickness Guidelines
1. A child must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to the Awana program.
2. Sickness covers the following but is not limited to: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, persistent cough, or any obvious
contagious condition such as head lice or pink eye.
3. If you are unaware of the diagnosis of your child's sickness, BCC asks you err on the side of caution.

AWANA is a focused time.
1. Please commit to helping your child through the AWANA book sections and Scripture memorization.
2. BCC AWANA servants are committed to helping you make your child wise unto salvation and seeing children grow
to love and obey the Lord.

AWANA is a fun time.
To give a focus on what is important, we offer lots of opportunities to earn points and awards such as:

1. Being on time
2. Bringing your Bible
3. Bringing your friends
4. Wearing your AWANA vest or T-shirt.

Diligence will pay off. Your child will accumulate AWANA dollars with which to spend at the AWANA store.

Every few weeks the AWANA program offers a special evening of fun. Dates and themes for these special evenings are laid out on the AWANA calendar.
