The Yale Undergraduate Actuarial Science Association (YUASA) is the only organization at Yale University actively supporting and seeking to build an Actuarial Science presence that has only existed at other universities. Broadly speaking, Actuarial Science is the study of risk management and its applications to companies and clients, using mathematical and computational tools to do so. Most actuaries work in insurance, but many also work in government, consulting, and finance.
