Sticks & Stories **Waitlist**
Sticks & Stories is a free event for boys ages 5-7 to help address the increasing gap of literacy and communication skills for boys. Players from the Clarington Toros AAA Minor Midget team (ages 15-16) will be at the event to alternate between reading stories with the kids and playing mini-sticks, while sharing the message that good hockey players like to read.

Sticks & Stories will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at South Courtice Arena. Each participant will receive a snack and a gift at the event. This event is completely free of registration fees thanks to a Rising Youth federal grant and our generous sponsors: Clarington Zone Hockey Association, the Municipality of Clarington, and the Clarington Public Library.

Sticks & Stories is limited to 30 participants and is CURRENTLY FULL. You may add your child to the waitlist in the event of cancellation using the form below.

A small snack will be provided as part of the event. We cannot guarantee that the snack will be free of any particular allergen. You are welcome to bring an alternate snack for your child if preferred.
Media Release
This free event is being offered to promote boys' literacy and to encourage young boys to read more often. There will be media coverage for this event in order to spread the message, and this event will also appear on social media sites. By allowing your child to participate in this event, you are giving permission for the organizers and media outlets to take and use photographs and video.
