Community Cabinet vs. School Improvement Team
A Community Cabinet is a group of stakeholders within a school community convened by the DCPS School Planning Team to help gather family and community input on new and re-envisioned school programs. More information on the Community Cabinet here:

A School Improvement Team (SIT) is a group of 10-15 school community members who provide feedback on facility design and construction. DCPS will work with the school leadership and parent groups to formalize the SIT. More information on the SIT here:

Beginning in January, 2016 the SIT will typically meet every 4 to 8 weeks and the Community Cabinet will meet quarterly.
