GACSA Member Survey
The members of GACSA are already developing, testing, and deploying climate-smart agriculture (CSA) solutions. We want to help document and publicize these efforts in order to accelerate collaboration, sharing, and learning. To initiate and facilitate this learning and sharing, the Member Engagement Team has devised an online member survey. The goal of this survey is to understand and highlight the broad range of CSA activities that our members are carrying out.
This survey is an ongoing GACSA effort to build a virtual and living library of knowledge, policies, and actions on CSA. GACSA members can both contribute to and benefit from this bank of CSA knowledge. The library will provide GACSA members the ability to share solutions, develop new ideas, form partnerships, and overcome challenges.
Understanding members’ CSA actions was envisioned under paragraph 21 of the GACSA Framework Document. This understanding is coupled with openly sharing these CSA actions. This openness is a characteristic of the Alliance and is also espoused in the GACSA Framework Document, as it is imperative to be able to openly share CSA solutions and talk about challenges with other GACSA members and the rest of the world.
In the near-term, member activities will be showcased at the first GACSA Annual Forum. The GACSA Annual Forum will be a place to demonstrate successes, learn from other members, talk about challenges, and potentially form new and lasting partnerships. This forum will be held in 2016, most likely during the spring.
Actions of members could also be showcased on the internet, in print, and in other mediums in support of disseminating CSA solutions and facilitating learning. The GACSA Facilitation Unit will collaborate with members to determine how best to disseminate their submissions.
Responses can be submitted online via this survey form. If that is not possible or is infeasible, then the form can be submitted via email attachment to GACSA-facilitation-unit@FAO.org. Please share your CSA insight, experiences, and lessons learned with your fellow Alliance members across the globe!
