In 2020, COVID-19 sent Canada and much of the globe into lockdown. Arts organizations across the country had to either shut down or adapt to an online or distanced performance model without in-person interaction.

Pro Coro Canada established a digital platform to engage with audience members and other artists in the Fall of 2020. Since then, the majority of Pro Coro’s programming, including our Emerging Artist Program (EAR), has been transferred to an online format. We have also established an EAR newsletter that provides information and inspiration to choral leaders, pedagogues, and anyone interested in the choral art form.

The object of this research survey is to ask Pro Coro Canada’s emerging artists and choral pedagogues if our current online format is accessible, enjoyable, and informative, and how the offer for Emerging Artists could be extended. You can explore our online content through our website at www.procoro.ca and on our Livestream channel at https://tv.procoro.ca/en/.
