Campaigns Coordinator Application
For an advocacy organization like STAND, campaigns serve two purposes: utilizing our constituency of informed, well-trained advocates, and bringing in new members. As Campaigns Coordinator, you’ll learn how to strike that balance, and will oversee the STAND MC during campaign development. In coordination with our Advocacy Coordinator, you’ll ensure that our policy asks translate into a steady stream of action opportunities for our grassroots, from those who just joined our mailing list to those running well-established chapters. You’ll ensure that we’re consistently offering robust multi-conflict programming and consult with the STAND MC to ensure that our national campaigns are enabling us to grow the STAND constituency. For each major campaign, you’ll work with the Student Director and Staff to develop a set of measurable benchmarks and goals, an implementation timeline, a set of tasks and deadlines for other MC members, and clear monitoring and accountability mechanisms. You don’t need to be the wonkiest kid in the class to be the Campaigns Coordinator; you do need to be creative, flexible, and open to crazy-sounding ideas (or, as we like to call them, cray-deas).

* Note: MC Members should expect to spend an average of 10 hours per week in their role, and all MC members are expected to attend two (expenses-paid) retreats in Washington, DC in summer 2017 and winter 2018 for training, bonding, and campaign planning! Applicants should be prepared to attend weekly MC Calls and weekly Programmatic or Outreach Calls, based on position. *

Applications are due on Friday, March 31 at 11:59 PM. Please direct any questions to info@standnow.org.

We're expecting that, in the coming months, there will be proposals to cut US funding to the United Nations by 40% or more. As the US funds approximately 25% of the budget, the consequences would be devastating for civilians in the countries that we work in. Come up with an innovative and engaging campaign to oppose these cuts, and fill out our campaign outline template (see standnow.org/about/team-openings to access) with your ideas; submit your finalized outline to info@standnow.org.
Are there any other positions on the MC or on one of our task forces for which you would like to be considered? If so, please list them below, in order of preference. We encourage you to include any that you may be interested in.
