I give permission to share my email with coordinators of this opportunity. *
I would like to be a COOK in a team with Japanese students and can commit to being at the event from 6-8pm.  You can sign up for more than one date but if there are many students interested in cooking,  this opportunity may be shared fairly with other students.  You will get an email confirmation.
I would like to be a JUDGE (with love) in this for fun cooking contest and can commit to being at the event from 6-8pm.  You can sign up for more than one date but if there are many students interested in judging,  this opportunity may be shared fairly with other students.  You will get an email confirmation.
I would like to CONTRIBUTE with snacks, a side dish, dessert, non-alcoholic drinks to share and welcome our Japanese guests.  We welcome your coming to one or all events and prefer full attendance from 6-8pm for relationship building.  If you have a sense of what you could contribute, please write it at the end.  If not, feel free to write TBD.
I would like to CHEER and CONNECT (but sorry that I can't bring anything to share.)  More important than the food itself are the connections you can make so know that your presence is the most important part of these events.  We welcome your coming to one or all events and prefer full attendance from 6-8pm for relationship building.
What assets, skills, or talents can you share with others? *
What is your level of Japanese? *
How much and what kind of experience do you have speaking to non-native speakers of English? *
I understand that if I sign up but do not show up or cancel in a professional way, I may be removed from this opportunity.   I have read the expectations for cancelling professionally: https://tinyurl.com/CancelProfessionally *
I understand that I will be asked to fill out a quick survey ( https://tinyurl.com/GlobalLearningVCUreflect )  at the end of each date / event.  Filling out this survey can count as attendance if useful for service learning, honors engagement points, extra credit, etc.  (if pre-approved by the supervisor of the program requiring  points.).  I am responsible for sending myself a response if I need it as proof of attendance. *
I am interested in receiving email updates when other global engagement opportunities arise. *
Do you have any questions or would you like to clarify any of your answers above?   If you are contributing something, what might you bring?  If you need to be late, what is your ETA?  We look forward to connecting with you and our friends from Shimane University.
