***Note all Sending Rituals/Letters must be sent 4 weeks prior to the return from Winter Break or two weeks prior to any other event. Late submissions will not be accepted. All Sending Rituals/Letters must be in separate form responses.****
Major things to note:
- You must know the name of the NPC you are trying to reach. Sending letters by hand involves ‘hiring’ a NPC to take and deliver that letter resulting in greater risks of them being intercepted, being deceitful, or something happening to them along the way. This risk increases exponentially with distance and if the NPC is far away it could take a significant amount of time to potentially find them if they can be found at all.
- For Sending Rituals it is a handwritten letter where a ritual is performed and a Spirit takes and delivers that letter. In order for this to be performed the NPC must be within the range of the ritual being used. There are different rituals with different distances in which they can be used and the cost is greater depending on distance. Spirits, while it is less likely, can also be intercepted, shady and also may not be able to find the person you seek. If they can not find the person you may get the letter back with that notice, but there is no guarantee. Sending rituals can only be handwritten letters and may not contain anything of value.
Due to the above conditions, it should be noted that letters being received or not received will be done through designated percentage chances used by the ST’s. Responses to letters should not necessarily be expected and the unlikelihood of responses increases based on distance and NPC in question. For plot purposes, the fact that the locations of NPC’s are not always public knowledge and the percentages of success/failure will not be public knowledge.
