Founded in 2015, Motorist has expanded over the years, entering the Malaysia market in 2018. The company is on its way to open a third office in Thailand. To date, we have successfully transacted over $180 million worth of cars.

In early 2019, Motorist successfully raised its first round of seed funding from JobsCentral’s Der Shing Lim and Shan-Ning Huang, and Zopim’s Royson Tay.

Job Summary:
Motorist is looking for a responsible and result driven individual to overlook sales and business development for the company. This candidate will also be responsible for growing the company’s portfolio of products and services. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic individual who thrives in achieving targets in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a proven team leader who is able to target a market, build a solid pipeline of opportunities, and expand the business aggressively. The ideal candidate should also be able to drive sales growth via existing and new sales channel, and distribution through partnerships. Lastly, the candidate is also required to plan and meet long and short-term targets of the company, develop a sustainable market across the business, and identify gaps and opportunities for workflow improvements.

Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales KPIs and drive growth
• Manage P&L oversight for all sales products
• Lead, develop and train the sales team with continual development of individuals
• Ensure operational and quality excellence of the sales team
• Acquire, develop and maintain ongoing/new strategic relationships with key business partners
• Prepare monthly reports for management
• Manage internal & external escalations
• Ensure SOP and SLA standards are met to achieve efficient and smooth operations
• Funds management for sales transactions
Job Requirements:
• Build and motivate the sales team to ensure set goals are either met or exceeded
• Manage conflicting priorities in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment

• Ability to understand and analyse sales numbers and manage key sales metrics
Qualifications:
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; with
• At least 5+ years’ experience, within the sales and business development management function with P&L management responsibilities
