General Permissions
We endeavour to make school processes as easy and safe as possible. The following permissions are taken as read upon completing this form, however we encourage you to contact the school with any questions, concerns or alterations to permissions on a case by case basis.  You can do this by emailing the school office or by raising this at a meeting prior to starting, which you have the option of booking below.
Walking Permissions
As part of my child’s learning, I understand there are times when they will be supervised within our local community for the purposes of enriching the school curriculum.  
All parents will be notified at least a day in advance giving time to review permission on a case by case basis.
Students will only be travelling on foot within our community.
All of the current school Risk Assessment procedures are followed, as with any school trip.
Publication of image or likeness Permissions
As part of becoming a globally connected learner, I understand my child will have photos and work shared on the internet. If there is a legal reason that my child’s image cannot be used, I will contact the school.
Is there any additional information which is essential to a successful placement at Raroa?
While we look forward to hearing more about your child and their needs, we do not seek nor accept requests for specific teachers.  Students are placed in small groups based upon recommendations made by their previous year's teacher.  We endeavour to ensure all students are placed in a class with students they work well with, but not necessarily existing friendships.  Students will be supported socially and emotionally as well as academically at Raroa.
