South Pearl Street in Platt Park district Denver will transform into an art experience for the elite art collectors of Denver. Now is your chance to be a part of it. South Pearl Streets 24th annual art walk will feature the work of more than 50 visual artists, live music, street performers, food and drink, and children’s activities. The highly anticipated event is unique among the city’s festivals, with artists exhibiting in and around participating businesses, plus it has become a great avenue for new and emerging artists. Free to the public, our Art Walk draws thousands of people to South Pearl Street of Denver each year.

The South Pearl Street Art Walk runs from April 5th through October 4th 2019. It runs from 5 pm to 9 pm. Artists meet and greet is from 3:30 to 4:30 pm at Gallery 1505. Artists need to be set up at their space on the sidewalk by 5 pm if not earlier.
We have an informational meeting Friday, March 29th from 6 to 7 pm at Gallery 1505, 1505 S. Pearl Street, Denver, CO 80210, where you can see the street layout and get familiar with parking for the Art Walk.

All artists are required to do a live art demonstration if they would like to sell their work.

ELIGIBILITY AND STANDARDS
• Artists 18 years of age or older may apply. (Younger artists can apply with parents signature).
• All works must be original and created by the artist. Commercially manufactured items or items produced from molds or commercial kits may not be exhibited.
• Artist collaborations may qualify if the team produces a single product in one medium and explains the arrangement on the application. (Otherwise each member will be considered an individual artist and must pay individual application fees.)
• A jury selects the participating artists and can approve or refuse submitted works.
• Indicate on your application if any of your artwork depicts nudity or violence. This will not affect your eligibility, but will help Art Walk properly place your exhibit on the site and display advisories in keeping with the family-friendly atmosphere.
• Indicate on your application if any of your artwork involves spray paint, sidewalk chalk art, or any material that may require special clean up or extra precautions. This will not affect your eligibility, but will help Art Walk properly place your exhibit on the site.
• Artists must be present and show their artwork throughout the months they select during the entire session. Artists that sign up for a space and do not show up on that day without giving proper 48 hour notice may be forfeited from Art Walk.
•Artists that do not do live art demonstrations may be forfeited from Art Walk.
HOW TO APPLY
• Complete the attached application.
• Enclose a check for the ($10 jury fee non-refundable). You can also send a paypal payment to gallery1505@gmail.com or go to the website gallery1505.com "shop" tab to purchase jury fee and put your first and last name into notes section.
• Send three .jpg images by email to apply.spsartwalk@gmail.com or Enclose a CD containing three .jpg images of work that represent the pieces to be sold during the Art Walk. Each image should be saved at 300 dpi in RGB color mode. Total file size for each image should be less than 1.8 MB. Be sure to put your name on the CD. The Art Walk cannot return CDs.
• In addition to images please email us or fill in on form below, an artist statement/biography of 200 words or less to apply.spsartwalk@gmail.com. Or type or print in paragraph form on an 81/2" x 11" white sheet of paper. If possible,
include a copy on your CD in a Microsoft Word-compatible document. Describe your technique, materials, and the processes used to create your artwork. This information will be published on the Art walk Web site and
may be edited before publication.
•If submitting through mail, please include a business-size (number 10, 4” x 9½”) self-addressed, stamped
envelope.
• Application packets must be postmarked no later than June 1st, 2019 and

FEES AND DEADLINES
All applications must include a check made payable to Gallery 1505, or payment through the gallery1505.com website
• Application Fee: $10 (nonrefundable)
• Artist Space Fee: Free
• DEADLINE: June 1, 2019
Artists whose applications are postmarked after June 1st will be considered only if space is available.
ACCEPTANCE AND WAIT LIST
• Artists will be notified of acceptance or wait list status by mail or email no later than 2 weeks following submission.
• Artists on the wait list may choose to remove themselves, but Art walk will
make every effort to include as many artists as possible until October 4th.
(The number of spaces available is contingent upon businesses and
residents of the South Pearl Street/Platt Park district and is not under Art walk's control.)
AWARDS
Best-of-show awards and cash prizes will be given based on the quality of artwork. And to a single artist that has no cancellations throughout the entire season. The first round of judging will review images submitted with the
applications; top-scoring artists will have their entire body of work evaluated during the Art walk.
EXHIBIT SPACES
• Limit one artist per space. For artist collaborations, only one space is provided.
• Spaces are made available at the invitation of the business owners, and
each artist should cooperate with and respect the wishes of his or her host.
Each space must be kept clean and in good shape by the artist using it.
• Walls cannot be used for display purposes unless otherwise stated by the
business owner. Each artist must bring his or her own displays, such as easels, tables, pedestals, etc.
• Each artist selected for outdoor artist areas must supply his or her own 10'x10' tent, easel, tables, demonstration drop cloth, umbrella, and lighting (solar or LED). Electricity will not be provided.
As required by law, each artist is responsible for collecting and turning in state, county, and city taxes. 100% commission of art sales goes directly to the artist.

including, without limitation, theft, destruction or injury to your artworks due to vandalism, negligence, natural causes or acts of God, or any bodily injury or property damage caused to a third party by your artworks, (2)
irrevocably and unconditionally release, remiss, acquit and discharge Gallery 1505 or the South Pearl Street Merchant Association., its successors and assigns and their present and former affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and
representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") of and from all losses, claims, liabilities, actions, demands, lawsuits, judgments, damages and expenses (including attorneys fees) of any kind and nature, whether known or
unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed (collectively, "Claims"), that you or your successors or assigns may have or be entitled to claim at any time, now or in the future, or may previously have had or been
entitled to claim against any of the Released Parties arising out of or relating to your artworks or the display of your artworks at any time, including, without limitation, any display of the artworks pursuant to this Agreement, and
(3) agree to indemnify and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from all Claims of any third party (including, without limitation, any patron, customer or artist host) that are asserted or that, directly or indirectly, arise out of,
relate to, or are connected with (A) any breach of this Agreement by you, (B) your artworks, or (C) any display of your artworks at any time without limitation, any display of your artworks pursuant to this Agreement.
