NEW THIS SEASON AND EVERY SEASON THEREAFTER: PREP WEEK!! READ CAREFULLY BELOW:
- SCHOOL OF ROCK LAND PARK WILL CLOSE THE WEEK AFTER THE END OF SEASON SHOW WEEKEND TO THE START OF THE NEW SEASON, SO THAT WILL BE MONDAY, JUNE 1ST THROUGH FRIDAY, JUNE 5TH FOR PREP WEEK. WE USE THIS PREP WEEK TO BETTER SERVE OUR SCHOOL OF ROCK COMMUNITY. DURING THIS 5-DAY CLOSURE, WE WILL BE TRAINING AND PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR STAFF, PREPARING FOR THE NEW SEASON, REPAIRING GEAR AND DEEP CLEANING THE SCHOOL, AND PROVIDING THE STUDENTS A MUCH NEEDED BREAK FROM THE HARD WORK OF THE SEASON BEFORE DIVING INTO THE NEXT! THIS GIVES US THE OPPORTUNITY TO HIT THE RESET BUTTON AND HIT THE GROUND RUNNING! THE NEW SEASON BEGINS MONDAY, JUNE 8TH THROUGH THURSDAY, JUNE 11TH WITH LISTENING PARTY WEEK!
SIGN UP FOR OUR SEASON 4 (SUMMER 2026) PERFORMANCE PROGRAM (AGES 11-17)
- Placements for this new season will be announced on or around Tues, May 26th
- New Season 4 Rehearsals will begin MON, JUNE 8th - THURS, JUNE 11th
- We generally DO NOT have a Summer Mid-Season show as we do have families taking vacations throughout the summer season and absences are a bit higher. For this reason we have our groups use that extra week of rehearsal to continue improving on their waves of songs. We will however have a Parent Preview Week where parents can come and watch a rehearsal for a bit to see them in action! That will be Mon, July 27th - Thurs, July 30th.
- Final End of Season performance will take place on Sunday, Sept 27th, Venue TBD! ALL DATES AND TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! We will update everyone on specifics as we draw closer to these dates!
- Please read and review ALL essential info below about Show Production Fees and Season Commitment
Please make sure to read ALL instructions below:
• IMPORTANT! As we are going into our summer show season, we understand families will be going on vacations, trips, etc. PLEASE STILL SIGN UP FOR A SHOW! WE WILL WORK AROUND YOUR VACATION SCHEDULE! We want your child to continue their musical journey rockin' with us, so don't let a trip or two discourage you from continuing!
Student's show preferences are strongly considered, but cannot be guaranteed! Show placement is ultimately decided by School of Rock Land Park in order to place students by availability in the best shows suited for their individual educational needs. Placements and casting will also be chosen in a manner to evenly balance students by their primary instrument.
• You MUST select at least 3 options, unless you have limited availability and can only do a specific show. If so, please choose three shows, but then CALL US AT 916-538-7625 OR EMAIL US AT landpark@schoolofrock.com IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN NOTE IT.
• School and life is crazy, we know - but it is imperative that you do everything you can to make your weekly rehearsals! You’re part of a team and that means practicing your parts, attending lessons/rehearsals consistently, and showing up ready to perform! We also know you have lives outside of School of Rock too! PLEASE STILL SIGN UP FOR A SHOW IF YOU ARE TAKING A TRIP DURING THIS TIMEFRAME! WE WILL WORK AROUND THIS AND ADJUST ACCORDINGLY! CALL US TO DISCUSS!
HOW IT WORKS:
1. You and your instructor talk about the show choices in detail. Your instructor will recommend shows to you based on your skill level and interests - listen to them! You're not required to follow their recommendation, but they know you and your learning process best, and they want to see you succeed! If we feel a show was chosen that may be too difficult, we will call you to discuss. We don't want students to be overwhelmed in the show they have chosen.
2. As long as you submit this sign-up form by Friday, May 22nd, you will be included in our initial round of casting. Casting for Performance Program groups does NOT operate solely on a first come, first serve basis! IF YOU DON'T MAKE THE INITIAL CASTING, YOU CAN STILL SIGN UP! OPTIONS MAY BE LIMITED AFTER THAT INITIAL CASTING RELEASE.
3. If you are interested in performing in two shows this season, you will be placed in a single show during the initial round of casting - then offered spots on a second show with whatever spots remain.
4. If your current lesson time ends up conflicting with the show you are placed on, our team will be happy to help you reschedule your lesson! We cannot guarantee that your current instructor will be available at another time, but we will do our best to pair you together again. (All of our teachers are awesome, by the way!)
5. For the three show options you choose, if all slots on your primary instrument are full, our team will reach out with other available show/instrument options. If any changes happen to those shows, we will update you with any opportunities to join in!
