Executive Briefing Service Pre-Requisites
The next section covers the information and resources that you need to have in place for us to install and configure the Executive Briefing Service in your environment.
ConnectWise Login Screen "Company ID" *
When you log in to your ConnectWise system, what is entered as the "Company ID" (just above your Username)?
Name of your ConnectWise database on your SQL Server *
ConnectWise also "named" your database when they installed it.  Typically the name is something like "cwwebapp_xxx", where xxx may be an acronym for your company.  This should be the database name that your nightly backup jobs reference as well to back up your ConnectWise database.
Name of your SQL Server that hosts your ConnectWise SQL database. *
Internal IP address of your SQL Server that hosts your ConnectWise SQL database. *
SQL Server Login account (with dbReader access) that New Haven should use to access your ConnectWise database: *
The Executive Briefing Service accesses your ConnectWise database directly through SQL.  To do that, you need to create a "SQL Login" on your SQL Server that has "dbReader" (i.e. read-only) access to your ConnectWise database.  (If you do not know how to do that, see http://newhaventech.com/installation/creating-sql-server-login-account-executive-briefing-service).  The SQL Server login account that I have created with dbReader access to my ConnectWise database is:
SQL Server Login account has been granted "Execute" privileges on my ConnectWise database to enable execution of built-in ConnectWise-written stored procedures: *
The Executive Briefing Service executes some ConnectWise-written stored procedures that are included with your ConnectWise database to accurately retrieve ConnectWise database directly through SQL.  To do that, you need to provide "execute" privileges for the read-only account you set up in the prior step.  To provide "execute" privileges from within SQL Server Management Studio:    1) Right click your ConnectWise database    2) From the "Select a page" list on the upper-left, select "Permissions"    3) In the "Users and Roles" section, select the name of the read-only account you have created for New Haven.    4) In the "Permissions" section at the bottom of the page, scroll the list to "Execute", and click the "Execute" checkbox.    (If you have problems or question, please e-mail "SetUp@NewHavenTech.com" and we'll send you the instructions.)    I have granted "execute" privileges on my ConnectWise database to the read-only account I have created for New Haven:

Windows Server where the Executive Briefing Service application will reside
The Executive Briefing Server runs on a server inside your firewall, so that your confidential data is NEVER outside your firewall and therefore never outside of your control.  EBS runs as a web application on a standard Windows Server platform (virtual or physical).  Preferred OS is Windows 2008 r2, but any version of Windows Server 2008 or 2003 meets the minimum requirements.
Name of the Windows Server you have set up to run the Executive Briefing Service. *
Internal IP address of the Windows Server you have set up to run the Executive Briefing Service. *
External IP address of the Windows Server you have set up to run the Executive Briefing Service (to allow remote RDP access) *
Login Account for New Haven to use on the  Windows Server *
We need to have a login (with admin rights) on the Windows Server that you have set up to run the Executive Briefing Service
Password for the Login Account for the Windows Server: *

I have set up RDP access to the designated server so that New Haven can remotely access the server through my firewall to install the EBS software. *
Required
I have opened TCP Ports 80 and 443 to allow automatic nightly application updates to the EBS software. *
Every night we update the EBS application via a job that contacts our central server and downloads the latest version of the EBS application.  This process is done via an outbound passive FTP initiated from the EBS server on your network.  Because it is using passive FTP in the process, we need to open inbound TCP ports 80 and 443.  If you would like to restrict this inbound access to only allow access from the IP address of our central server, just indicate that in the checkbox list and we’ll send you the IP address of our central server.
