PSUFA 2023 Bargaining Goals
Our bargaining team developed this list of demands based on the feedback you and other adjuncts provided on our survey last fall and from our bargaining research across multiple other unions. We will be sharing specific dollar amount asks as we progress through bargaining, we cannot announce those publicly yet.

Equal Pay for Equal Work We deserve to be paid the same amount as full time faculty who teach the same courses as we do, and who have been here for as long as we have.

Keeping Up with the Cost of Living We need Cost of Living increases that actually keep up with inflation.

Raises for Length of Service We deserve to be recognized and paid for our dedication to PSU. Our length of service to PSU should advance us above the minimum pay rate.

No More Unpaid Work We need to be paid for developing new courses and changes to course formats. There should be compensation when courses get cut from our signed contracts.

Benefits We Can Use We need increased funding and access to PSUFA's benefits funds.We want a sick-leave pool so those who really need it can take paid leave when they have to. We deserve improved access to adjunct healthcare and retirement benefits. We want to create funding and access support structures for parents and caregivers.

Increased Onboarding and Inclusion We need to create department-specific onboarding materials and processes for adjuncts. We should be able to attend our own departmental faculty meetings.
