Welcome to Stanford's Environmental Justice Program Working Groups! We're so excited that you're interested in working with us this year, and we look forward to having you. Currently, we have 5 active project groups (see EJWG website for
more detail). We expect to work on existing projects, as well as to build new ones based on community interests. Our project groups are:
- Education: Deepen EJ education, teaching, and curriculum development at Stanford. Responsibilities include supporting and moving forward with current EJ education efforts from current members.
- Events: Create nurturing spaces where those who are doing EJ work at Stanford can meet and connect with each other. Responsibilities include organizing and supporting EJWG events
- External Relations/Amplification: Amplify and support frontline community groups and other work being done outside of Stanford. Responsibilities include meeting the external organization's individual needs.
- EJ & the Arts: Advance arts-based EJ initaitives for inclusive social and science change at Stanford. Responsibilities include supporting and moving forward with arts- events and coalition building.
- New School: Developing a vision for embedding EJ as a cornerstone in the new school. Responsibilities include helping to plan for a new EJ center.
- Communications: Work with our current communications manager to expand our EJ social media, presence and advance EJ communication at Stanford. We are also looking for a graduate student to take on our EJ communications manager position in spring (website, listserv, newsletter management).
