Orange County STEM Teacher Workshop Interest Form
Urban Sustainability Solutions' mission is to provide environmental education and workforce development training opportunities for youth.  This program is designed to engage youth in community service and to introduce them to post-secondary educational and career opportunities related to water quality to meet the demand in this field in the coming decades.

We are offering a 2-day workshop in November 2023, January 2024, or February 2024 for science, agriculture, OCS, and EC teachers in Orange County of all levels.  Our goal is to train a team of 4 teachers from each school.  During this workshop teachers will receive hands-on rain garden and cistern installation training, review North Carolina stormwater curriculum, and build a 5-day unit plan to implement during the 2023-2024 school year. Lunch will be provided daily. Upon completion of the workshop teachers will receive a $500 stipend.
