RSVP: District Tour and Conversation with MA Rep. Jeffrey Sánchez
Please join the Taubman Center for State and Local Government, the Latinx Caucus, the City + Local PIC, and the Rappaport Institute of Greater Boston at 9am on Friday, Oct. 20th for a tour of Boston's Mission Hill neighborhood led by Rep. Jeffrey Sánchez. Following the tour, Rep. Sanchez will sit down with students for an informal conversation about the changing dynamics of the neighborhood, his experience as a Latino elected official, and his career in public service. Event logistical details to follow upon RSVP. Transportation to and from Mission Hill will be provided.

Rep. Sánchez serves as Massachusetts State Representative for the 15th Suffolk/Norfolk District, which includes the Boston communities of Mission Hill, Jamaica Plain, and Roslindale, along with Precinct 5 of the Town of Brookline, MA. In July 2017, he was appointed the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. He is an HKS MPA alum.

Rep. Sánchez’s overall legislative agenda is driven in large part by the issues faced in the district. It emphasizes initiatives that address access and retention in education, public infrastructure development, workforce development, public health, and affordable housing.

Please contact Meredith Davis Tavera (meredith_davis@hks18.harvard.edu) or Peter Drivas (peter_drivas@hks18.harvard.edu) with any questions. RSVP is required in order to attend.
