Camp Ultimate Peace in the Middle East - Coaches Application 2020
***Applications are due by February, 1st, 2020 at 6pm EST.***

Coaches at Camp Ultimate Peace have a dual role: ultimate coach and camp counselor. Coaches spend the entire day with their team, but at least half of the time will be spent on non-ultimate group development work. Coaches working with older campers (~14-18 years old) will tend to spend more time coaching ultimate, while coaches working with younger campers (~11-14 years old) will tend to spend more time on group development work.

It’s key to realize that while Camp UP is an ultimate camp, coaches spend more time facilitating group development than coaching ultimate.

Coaching applicants should be at least a year out of high school. If you do not meet this criteria and you'd still like to apply as a coach, please reach out to Josh (josh@ultimatepeace.org) before submitting your application.

This summer we will be running TWO SIMULTANEOUS sessions of camp.

One camp will be made up of older, more experienced campers.

The second camp will be a mix of everyone, but generally younger campers.

Both camps will run at the same time in the same location.

***IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SCHEDULING***
There is a small chance we will have to push the start of camp by 1 to 3 days later into July. It's not too likely, but it is possible. If this happens the overall camp schedule listed out below will not change except for starting 1 to 3 days later. We will have the dates of camp set in stone by mid-March at the latest. Please do not apply unless you can work with this variance. If you have any questions, please contact Josh.

July 3rd -- Coach and staff arrival between 0900 and 1100 @ Kfar Silver or Kanot
July 3rd & 4th -- Coach and staff orientation
July 5th through 12th -- Camp!
July 13th onward -- Staff departure
