Creating Calm After Chaos

Whether from circumstances around you or a quiet unraveling inside, when life feels upside down, it's like the ground you once trusted just isn’t holding you the same way.

Creating Calm After Chaos is a 4-session process arts workshop designed for anyone who’s been carrying a bit more tension, anxiety, grief or emotional exhaustion, whether it’s new or something you’ve carried for a long time.

Designed to provide relief from the lingering impacts of overwhelming experiences, you will come away with an understanding of what you're experiencing, how to support yourself through any overwhelm and how to move forward with a sense of self, hope and peace.

All while building community.  This workshop will have you healing alongside others who get you and who are experiencing similar challenges that you may be.

*You do not have to think of yourself as an artist for this workshop!  You don't even have to be able to draw a stick figure.  We provide all materials and instructions.

What To Expect
Each workshop is held in four weekly sessions, 3 hours each.

The flow of each session will be:

  • Open with introductions or reflections.  
  • Mini trauma lesson to make sense of what happened and what you may be experiencing internally.
  • Collage.  This is a freeform time of personal expression and open discussion. 
  • We'll close with reflection and prompts to carry you into the coming days.

Collage materials will be supplied:  Collage board, assorted college material, and glue sticks

Optional materials you may bring: markers, pens, colored pencils, or crayons to add personalized details.
