The general purpose of TSC is to support and aid in the growth and development of intercollegiate athletics for men and women in all sports at the University of Washington. The TSC acts as an advisory board to the Tyee Club in areas such as, membership benefits, donor stewardship, fundraising, game day experience, and other areas of engagement.
The Tyee Club, the primary fundraising arm of Husky Athletics, works to support the 650 student-athletes in 22 different sports and provide each of them with an outstanding education, the opportunity to compete in the sports they love, and the chance to leave the University of Washington as principled citizens ready to make an impact on the world. Through their work with Tyee Club staff liaisons, TSC members contribute to department fundraising plans, support community activities and events to grow loyalty to Washington and act as ambassadors for the UW athletic department.
Tyee Sports Council Membership Expectations: - Maintain annual Tyee Club membership by giving to the Competitive Edge Fund, Team Support Funds or seat-related gifts. - Actively attend and participate in TSC quarterly meetings and events - Serve a three-year term, with the option to extend- Preferably a season ticket holder in at least one sport, though not required
